"The People's Press" is an independent paper created by the people, for the people. We are a community multimedia digital and print news publication that showcases a digital news website, a print newspaper, and a YouTube channel housing long-form style interviews. We are also part of various social media platforms.
We plan to serve the broader Cleveland community.
Reading the news every morning is a constant in many Clevelanders' lives. Most news networks often overlook true community stories. Stories of coming together and organizing for a better future for our neighbors.
We at The Peoples Press hold each other accountable to true journalistic ethics such as
Seek Truth and Report it: Ethical journalism should be accurate and fair. Journalists should be honest and courageous in gathering, reporting and interpreting information.
Minimize harm: Ethical journalism treats sources, subjects, colleagues and members of the public as human beings deserving of respect.
Act independently: The highest and primary obligation of ethical journalism is to serve the public.
Be accountable and transparent: Ethical journalism means taking responsibility for one’s work and explaining one’s decisions to the public.
Notably, members of the government or law enforcement are a danger to our communities - through these journalistic ethics WE KEEP US SAFE.
